car was modelled in 3DS max ( from someone else's mesh, I don't have the time and patience for it these days ) textured in Daz3D Studio and the scene was set and rendered in Bryce 6.0.
Small amount of post processing in Photoshop ( bit of distance blur to give depth perspective and focus to the car and desharpen a few edges )
I might do a couple more. Its just a bit of relief getting away from the painter stuff, I don't like to stick at the same stuff for too long at a time else I get boring and repetitive.
Anyone fancy a play with this stuff I believe that Daz Studio is free with a small amount of content ( for posing, texturing, animating and rendering models )

And the previous version of Bryce, 5.5 is being given away as a promotion with the launch of their new website.

It's worth a play if only to get a feel of 3D scene setting without all the tedious CAD work. If you look through the shop some of their older poser figures like Victoria base 3.0 and michael are available for free ( needs and account registration to purchase even free items )
Plenty of tutorials around to get you started.
Edit:// Daz Studio is Tell-Ware which means I agree to tell at least 2 people about the program. I'm spamming my bit as you can see, I hope you do yours ;)
Edit2:// I'm quite a fan of this as you can see. I'm sure it's naughty but I might be able to *loan* some of my content out ;)
