Flash is worth sticking with, but i think it's best to learn on a project... something you really fancy doing. Your stuff is perfect for Flash anims though; they'd be ace :)

i can create little scenes and loops with it
but lashing them together with sownd as a film is a pain i need to sit with someone who knows the programme the language it uses is a bit techy i find it confusing

the tutorials up at flashkit are meant to be quite good
http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/
but i must admit i had someone the other side of the room i could throw questions at... that probably helped me a lot getting past that steep bit on the learning curve

vere vere catchy choon and beautious animation
i agree with amoebaboy - i'd love to be better at flash (particularly doing eclectech type aminations)
the thing that confuzzles me most is synchronising movement to an audio track - is it extra extra hard ?
...stream then you can tinker with the frames and playback on the timeline in realtime without having to constantly replay the movie. My flash stuff is far too old hat to bother posting on here... Well...nearly

aw, that is kittintastic - hahaha :D
i have done similar things
but i'm sure there must be a better [more accurate] way of synching sownd and vision
i find that the longer a thing lasts the more out of synch it gets [although, annoyingly, it only sometimes goes out of synch] ):
is making sure that the framerate and bpm of the music match up
so if you have music that's 120 bpm, 12 fps is great. if you make the rhythmic movements with a cycle of 3 or 6 or 12 frames it will work with the music.
doghorse has tweaked the timings of things in the past, to make sure i have a sensible framerate to work at (usually between 12 and 15 for online stuff, although the above is 20 because it had a mental time signature)
the other things is streaming the sownd, as Q-target mentions (and hooray for the kittens!)

another stonker
as above comments - I played around with Flash
but it was the shear time needed to get to
grips with it all ...
time is very precious ... "my preeeeccious"
